HDI-piirilevyt ovat tulleet yh\u00e4 suosituimmiksi ja niit\u00e4 k\u00e4ytet\u00e4\u00e4n laajalti eri aloilla, kuten l\u00e4\u00e4ketieteess\u00e4, armeijassa ja ilmailualalla. Hienojakoisten komponenttien sijoittamiseksi HDI-piirilevyn asettelussa on tyypillisesti seuraavia ominaisuuksia:  <\/p>\n<p>Pienemm\u00e4t l\u00e4piviennit: HDI-piirilevyt k\u00e4ytt\u00e4v\u00e4t mikroreiki\u00e4 (mekaanisesti tai laserilla porattuja), sokeita\/hautautuneita ja porrastettuja l\u00e4pivientej\u00e4 kerrosten v\u00e4lisiin siirtymiin. N\u00e4iden l\u00e4pivientien kuviosuhde on pienempi kuin perinteisill\u00e4 l\u00e4pivienteill\u00e4. Hienojakoisten komponenttien kanssa k\u00e4ytett\u00e4viksi n\u00e4iden l\u00e4pivientien halkaisijat on tehty pienemmiksi, mik\u00e4 rajoittaa niiden hy\u00f6tyk\u00e4ytt\u00f6syvyytt\u00e4.  <\/p>\n<p>Ohuemmat johdinkuviot: HDI-piirilevyiss\u00e4 k\u00e4ytett\u00e4v\u00e4t ohuemmat johdinkuviot ovat tarpeen yhteyksien muodostamiseksi l\u00e4pivienteihin kullakin kerroksella sek\u00e4 pinnassa oleviin l\u00e4pivienteihin. Ohuemmat johdinkuviot mahdollistavat my\u00f6s suuremman johdintiheyden, mist\u00e4 HDI-terminologia juontuu. <\/p>\n<p>Suurempi kerrosm\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4: Olemme valmistaneet ei-HDI-piirilevyj\u00e4, joissa on suuri kerrosm\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4, mutta HDI-piirilevyjen kerrosm\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4 voi helposti ylt\u00e4\u00e4 20:een tai enemm\u00e4n, kun ty\u00f6skennell\u00e4\u00e4n komponenttien kanssa, joissa on suuri pinnitiheys (esim. FPGA:t).<\/p>\n<p>Alemmat signaalitasot: HDI-piirilevyj\u00e4 ei k\u00e4ytet\u00e4 korkeaj\u00e4nnitteisiin tai suurivirtaisiin sovelluksiin.
